About The Designer
Taylor Marriner
“Art is how we communicate the way we see the world, and fashion is the medium I use to do that. Through The Art of Living, I explore how design can respond to the world as it changes - its triumphs, its challenges, and the stories that emerge in between. I believe art isn’t just something we create; it’s something we live.”
I’ve always been drawn to design for the ways clothing can tell a story and shift how someone feels as they move through the world in it. I love how tangible that change can be; how the right piece can bring out a sense of confidence, comfort, or possibility. That mix of emotional impact and hands-on problem-solving is what keeps me excited about fashion. I love the early spark of an idea just as much as figuring out how it can realistically come to life.
Over the past several years, I’ve gained experience in trend research, digital design, draping, patternmaking, sewing, and the production process. Moving between the creative and the technical feels natural to me because one does not exist without the other. One day I’m refining silhouettes or building a visual narrative, and the next I’m deep in construction details or thinking through how a garment can function within a larger collection or market.
My goal is always to make work that feels considered, intentional, and grounded in both vision and practicality. Fashion is a fast-moving field, but I try to approach it like I do life: with curiosity and a willingness to experiment, learn, and build with a bigger picture in mind.
